BUYER GUIDE / START HERE
Make FacilityAir yours before you publish.
This guide takes you from the demo to your own commercial HVAC website. Work in order: brand and styles, licensed imagery, five CMS collections, commercial services and coverage, forms, SEO, domain and final launch checks. All example projects and coverage areas are fictional. Replace them before using the site for your business.
SETUP SEQUENCE / 01
1. Duplicate and brand
Work on your own remix. Replace FacilityAir in the Header, Footer, page copy and SEO with your business name. Use your approved logo, keep it legible on light and dark backgrounds, and verify the mobile menu.
2. Set colors and type
Open Assets → Footer → FacilityAirVisualSystem. Set Graphite, Stone and Ice blue. Defaults: #10171C / #F3F2ED / #B7E6F3. This shared component controls the live theme; edit its CSS for typography and spacing. Native text and CMS content remain editable.
3. Replace imagery
Set Rooftop, Mechanical and Architecture in FacilityAirVisualSystem, then replace native Hero image fills and their alt text. The supplied equipment images are generated illustrations; the diagrams show concepts. Use licensed replacements and keep fictional project labels until approved real content is ready.
CMS / EDITING
Edit the five collections without breaking their pages.
Open CMS and select Services, Industries, Case Studies, Service Areas or Resources. Edit Title, keep a short lowercase hyphenated Slug, and replace Content. Add records in the same collection so they inherit its detail page. Preview the index card and detail route after every change. Keep demo labels until approved content replaces them. Changing a published slug requires updating links and setting an appropriate redirect.
BUSINESS CONTENT / REPLACE THE DEMO
Make the content match the work you actually do.
Services and maintenance
Write only services your team provides. Define included equipment, exclusions, visit scope, reporting and the process for additional work. Edit comparison cards to match your actual offer; publish response times or pricing only when approved.
Industries and coverage
Describe the operational needs you can support. Replace fictional service areas with real coverage, dispatch constraints and enquiry instructions. Remove industries or areas you do not serve. Check every index-to-detail link.
Case studies and resources
Keep DEMO labels on fictional examples. For real case studies, obtain image/client permission and describe scope, work and documented results. Publish only reviewed resources; check any download links and never invent savings or certifications.
FORMS / DELIVERY
Connect the enquiry flow to an inbox you control.
Select each native form and set its delivery destination in Framer. Use your monitored business inbox; keep the destination out of visible page copy. Retain company, contact, work email, site count, property type, service needs, current maintenance, preferred contact and notes on Site Assessment. Contact needs name, work email and message, with optional company. Add visible labels, required-field feedback, a confirmation and an error state. Use approved test data to verify receipt before launching. Never promise a response time your team cannot meet.
SEO / DOMAIN / LAUNCH
Check the public site before asking for enquiries.
Write a unique page title and description for every static route and every CMS detail pattern. Use one H1 per page and H2s for sections; describe informative images and leave decorative alt text empty. Replace social preview media with licensed brand imagery. In publishing settings, follow Framer’s displayed domain steps for your selected plan and DNS provider; preserve existing mail records. First verify the free preview. Check every route at 1200, 810 and 390 pixels: menu, footer, cards, focus, forms, image crops and horizontal overflow. Verify real service coverage, approved project evidence and your own privacy/terms copy. Publish the business domain only after forms deliver and all links work.
FINAL CHECK / TROUBLESHOOTING
Do these checks before launch.
Empty CMS page? Confirm the collection contains a visible record and that Title, Slug and Content are bound to the correct detail pattern. Broken card? Confirm its link targets the current item’s detail page, then preview from the index.
Form not arriving? Check the configured destination, spam folder and displayed submission state; verify receipt before taking enquiries. Phone overflow? Check fixed widths, card columns, long text and image fills. Before launch: replace every demo claim, verify contact details, coverage, forms, all routes, metadata and domain routing.
